Change Your Habits

We are well into 2015, and with a new year come the resolutions we promise ourselves to keep. Maybe you are one of those people who are experiencing a resurgence of will on January 1 st more motivated than ever to get rid of a bad addiction, to adopt a healthier lifestyle, or simply to improve your overall quality of life. As this week is Québec Tobacco-Free Week, why not support thousands of Quebecers in their efforts to quit, by giving a boost to our own resolutions?

When a Bad Habit Becomes Toxic

First and foremost, you need to identify which habit you wish to end. Several websites can help you calculate your level of addiction to  cigarettes, alcohol, or even Facebook! hat being said, the most infamous bad habit remains a poor diet. According to the RHI website (Relative Happiness Index), one person out of five wants to change their eating habits  [1].

Une personne sur 5 souhaite modifier ses habitudes alimentaires.

You know what the right choice is.

To get rid of a bad habit for good, it is essential to take full responsibility. You eat too much fast food due to lack of time to cook? You are not worried about the alcohol you consume because you say you can stop whenever you want? You do not exercise enough because the subscription to the gym is too expensive? No, no and no. There will never be a better time to be honest with yourself and to face up your lifestyle. You have the choice to either assume it in true conscience, or to change it permanently. It is said that 30 days is all you need to create a permanent habit  [2]. Nice challenge, isn’t it?

About Detoxification

If you simply want to cleanse your system of your excess from the Holiday season, you may be interested in detoxifying. Having gained popularity over the years, this concept is based on the elimination of harmful toxins in your body. Instead of imposing drastic food cuts, it’s more about achieving a balance by adopting new, healthier habits. However, before you start, we highly suggest you evaluate whether detoxification is appropriate for you. Despite its harmless appearance, it can be risky for some people  [3].

Détoxication: Faites le ménage dans votre corps

Because food can be both healthy and yummy.

The best option is still to consult with your doctor or nutritionist to enlighten you on your choices. If you live in the Montreal area, the  Crudessence team  offers private coaching detox sessions in 30 days, very interesting to motivate you to stay on track!

The Hazelwood Necklaces and Bracelets: a Good Habit to Get Into!

Many people buy  Pure Hazelwood necklaces and bracelets just because they are nice to wear, or to relieve temporary discomfort (for example, baby teething pain). But did you know that you can benefit from the hazelwood all year long?

The hazel wood, being rich in polyphenols known for their antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, can actually bring you well-being in your everyday life. For example,  many customers have testified that their chronic skin problems such as eczema or psoriasis had greatly decreased with the wearing of the hazelwood necklace long term. However, you must replace the necklace or bracelet once the hazelwood beads have reached their full potential. You’ll know it when your symptoms come back, or when the ends of the hazelwood beads have darkened (every 3 to 6 months or so). It's the perfect complement to a balanced lifestyle!
