We use beaked hazel wood (Corylus Cornuta), carefully selected by our team of harvesters in Quebec, Canada for our creations. This species of hazel wood has been traditionally used by First Nations for hundreds of years for its healing benefits. Today, it is scientifically recognized for its richness in polyphenols, molecules that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

Handmade in Canada, this necklace is mounted on a nylon-covered metal wire, with a sturdy lobster clasp. It is adorned with genuine Picasso jasper and white howlite stones, glass beads and metal pieces, all lead-free and cadmium-free.

Howlite is a stone that looks like porcelain, of a very porous nature. It is frequently dyed to resemble other stones, such as turquoise or lapis lazuli. The Amerindians named it "white bison stone" because it is as rare as white bison in Southern America. It is a very relaxing stone, often used to get rid of any stress. It helps to counteract insomnia and strengthens character. At the physical level, it is said that howlite contributes to the fortification of bones, hair, nails and teeth. Finally, it would help to relieve digestion disorders and would have a diuretic action.

Although jasper has been known for ages, the Picasso variety is quite recent. The name Picasso jasper would be more of a trade noun attributed precisely because of the colorful and very "modern art" aspect of the stone which reminds of the paintings by the great Picasso. It is a stone of initiative and courage, favorable to artists seeking inspiration. On the physical level, it would stimulate the immune system and blood circulation, thus promoting good irrigation of organs and muscles. The stone would also help to invigorate the bones, the digestive system and to combat gastric and intestinal ailments and pains.
